Today was a bad day, my grandmothers' flight to Los Angeles from Mexico was canceled due to the whole airline issue and that was a big bummer. I was really looking forward to seeing her today. The cancelation of U.S. airline flights did not just affect my family but it is affecting many around the world. People have had to cancel important meetings and rearrange plans they had which consisted of them flying out of town. Society has been left to find other alternatives to navigate out of town if really needed. U.S. airline flights are creating negative economic effects because some airlines have decided to give refunds to people whose flight have been canceled, therefore money is being lost. To top things off my family and I cannot even drive to Mexico because of gas station outages. Just today we had a four hour wait to simply get gas, it was chaos, cars honking everywhere. When it was finally our turn we were only allowed to pump $30 dollars of gas which was not enough for our car that normally fills up with $50 dollars.
All of society is greatly struggling, not only are airline flights canceled but gas outages are leaving many with fewer alternatives to move from place to place. The economy is beginning to collapse because gas outages are causing people to not purchase cars as much anymore and instead take public transportation, ride a bike, or simply walk. Joe’s car company at Downtown just closed down last week because people were no longer consuming cars. Now that we have the gas outage I have had to give up spending every weekend going to the mall, ahhh no more window shopping. :( The stores around my house are not as interesting as the mall where I have a variety of stores and products to choose and see from. Now I even have to give up the luxury to be driven to school every day and instead have to walk there. Now I’ll have to wake up half an hour earlier than the usual to have enough time to walk to school and get there on time. How exhausting!
In my house there is enough canned food and water for about a week or so but with the oil shortage I am worried that we may starve to death or get dehydrated. I mean I'm already skinny as it is and without food and water I'm terrified to just think how I’d look. I know I am not the only one worrying about losing our necessities and that there are many others who are going through tougher time. Things just do
